Julia Productions, Inc, grew out of Ellen's first film, "The Real Meaning of Deep Throat: A Documentary". In this tale, Ellen chronicles her discovery of "Julia" an hour old starling left on the pavement approximately two years ago. Ellen searched the Internet and met numerous avian aficionados who mentored her in teaching this young bird how to survive. After eight weeks, when Juia was flying, fully grown and able to forage for herself, Ellen took her to her property in the Adirondacks and let her go. Julia stuck around for a few days and then eventually left to join a tribe of her own kind. With that, Ellen literally experienced empty nest syndrome. As a result, she researched much about birds. Ellen adores animals but especially birds.
